After being in E-Marketing Training Camp "Eliitlaager2010" the answer seems so simple:
- set your e-marketing goals;
- select environments where you want to be seen/active (web, blog, Facebook, Twitter, email marketing);
- start collecting your own mailinglists, Fans and people interested in your content;
- start developing relevant content to people who have your money in their pockets;
- after giving them value for 9-10 times, it is about the time to ask for sales.
How to find time to do that? Treat this work as a long term investment into your marketing.
Good example is OKIA.ee.
Their web visibility and their own work was below average untill to March 2009. Their customers were unhappy because their visibility was insufficient. But as they started collecting relevant content from internet and guiding potentional customers and competitors to their blog, their awareness raised enormously. Also, at the same time they started improving their web-site-engine so that they become competitive again.
Conclusion: They did what other companies didn't do. They shared what they have learned instead of keeping quiet and asking money for sharing knowledge.
Other good examples are Peep Laja and Priit Kallas.
